Nocturnal – a Photography Project

20130721-SGMoonDay14Silhouette-72-blog

It’s been a while since the last time I used my Canon 70-200mm f/2.8L IS, so when I saw the clear night sky and the almost full moon, I decided to use it to shoot some silhouettes of the branches and leaves against the moon. Even with the addition of 1.4X tele-converter and the 1.3x cropped sensor of the Canon 1D Mark IV, I still had to crop the photo to make it bigger.

The final results give me a feeling of looking into a different world or the world that exist only at night. This is my new photography project.  🙂

So, here you go, the Nocturnal.

"A photographer and a memory keeper (a.k.a junks collector) who finally decided to quit his day job in 2017 after two decades to focus full time on photography. Check out also his outdoor children, family and pet photography work at masakecil.com.

In 2010, this website won the Singapore Best Photography Blog Award."
