I am currently testing the Voigtlander Nokton 35mm f/1.2 ASPH Version 2 on Leica M9. The images here were shot in RAW and then converted and resized to JPEG for web viewing. No other post-processing done. All were shot at its largest aperture of f/1.2 and closest focusing distance of 0.7m or close to that and under tungsten light. I will do some more test today or tomorrow. Have a great weekend everyone.

One thing I noticed yesterday was the new LCD screen worked very well on a bright sunny day. Almost no or just a little glare. It’s very usable and very helpful for a camera without a viewfinder when used outdoor. Well done Olympus. My old Panasonic GF1 couldn’t do this. For a camera without a viewfinder, this is definitely a great news. I will be testing it more on Tuesday hopefully. Stay tuned.

I am very tired now. Very little sleep in the past two days, but I just want to post these before I go to bed. I shot these on the same day when I shot the Kuda Kepang / Kuda Lumping dance at Joo Chiat. After that performance, I saw the nice sunset colors in the sky. I didn’t have my tripod with me, so I had no choice but to shoot handheld with Leica M9 and 90mm Summarit lens. Shooting low light photography without a tripod is tough. Hence, technically, these photos are not the best, but I would like to post them anyway, so when the weather is good and there is a good chance that the sunset would be nice, you can go there to shoot. Bring your tripod and have fun shooting the sunset.

I have had fun playing with the new watermarking feature of Adobe Lightroom 3 Beta and I believe this is what I am going to use for all my pictures posted on the web moving forward. And I will for sure upgrade my current Lightroom 2 once the full version of Lightroom 3 is out as I like its other new features too, such the Grain, Noise Reduction and their new Print module. Having said that, I do like the new Slideshow feature of Aperture 3 which I saw when I attended the Apple product briefing couple months ago, but not sure if I would upgrade my current Aperture just for the slideshow. Will see.

The photo above shows this man biking to cross Jalan Sultan. I like this picture a lot, as there is a strong contrast between this man and the moving cars in the opposite direction and high rise buildings in the background. I hope you like it too and do let me know if you have any comment. Thank you.
