2007 Photobloggies Award

The finalists for the 2007 Photobloggies Awards have been announced.

My photoblog has been nominated as finalist in two categories:
- Best South East Asia Photoblog
- Best Portrait Photography

The winner will be announced live on May 1st, 2007, during the North American Photobloggers Meetup in Chicago.

Best Asian Photoblog - 2006 finalist

What an encouragement !
I just saw that I have been selected as one of the finalists for the Best Asian Photoblog 2006 by www.coolphotoblogs.com. See here for the complete list of the finalists. The final winner will be announced on 31 December 2006. In time for the new year party. But being a finalist is already good enough for me. :)

All your feedbacks, either positive or input for improvement have helped me to continue shooting and document life through my lens. I can't thank you enough.

New design of hendralauw.com

I have decided to redesign my photoblog using Movable Type. It took me a while to complete it as I was juggling my time among my day job, my time for my family, this photography passion and learning Movable Type at the same time. I like it so much that I have decided to also redesign my other photoblog using this content management software later.

I have decided to change the background from black to white for a number of reasons, mainly for what I want this photoblog to be in the future. It took me some time to like it as I was so used to black background photoblog. But after completing it .. it's not bad at all. Hope you all like the new design.

As part of the migration from the old design, I have to move the photos that I have posted since late December 2005, but unfortunately I couldn't figure out the way to migrate the comments I have received for the old photos to this new platform. So, all the old photos will not have comments, unless you guys are kind enough to repost your comments and I'll pay you a dollar for each comment. :-)

I have also added this News page which I will use to publish information related to this website.

So .. I am back !

And it starts with a good feeling as my website was mentioned in the August edition of UK's Black and White Photography magazine. Thanks to Earl Haramaki who was the first one who informed me about this and to Oyvind Roti who later bought me the magazine. And of course, thanks to the GMC Publications too for mentioning my website in the magazine.

Last but not least, I have lots of new photos to share with you all and I can't wait to do that.
